I went as far as Cedoux so they were working in three or four areas before that. I talked to one of the workers. He said they were clearing the crossings first. Then they use the machine to pull up the spikes, etc..... You fellers might like to go & watch? ;o)

This is CN is it not? If it is, then outside of what CN has coming from Brandon to Beinfiet, they won't have any more lines in southern Sask.Sad..

Yeah I guess that is it now. Weird

Then again, through central Manitoba, south of the main line for CN, there are no longer any tracks. CP ever gives up the stretch between Page and rathwell, the same could be said of them. Now that is really sad.

Doug do you know if CN even uses the branch down to Beinfiet? Checked out the rails last summer and saw no sign any train had been down there in some time, especially since they have nothing to haul that far south.

One train a week for coal. That is close to ending.

Thanks Doug, If you hear that is it is closing, can you let us know. I have always wanted to shoot a 'last train'.

That's interesting, the mine said they no longer ship any the coal via train and haven't for some time, yet CN still lists it as a mine they service, so I don't know why the mine told me they no longer have any rail traffic.
